Dubai’s culinary scene is about to get even more exciting with the addition of two restaurant concepts to Mandarin Oriental Downtown. This November, one of the city’s most beloved nightlife experiences, Billionaire, is reopening at a new location, while a brand-new concept, Lion in the Sun, is set to make its debut.

Both venues will open in November 2025, just one month after the grand opening of Mandarin Oriental Downtown.

Billionaire – A Grand Return to the City’s Nightlife

The legendary Billionaire is back and better than ever, moving to a dazzling new venue on the 61st floor of Mandarin Oriental Downtown. Guests can enjoy not just the iconic dinner-and-a-show concept but also incredible views of the city, making for an unforgettable night.

The show, now called Up in the Sky, promises to bring the same top-tier performances that made it a favorite in Dubai’s nightlife scene, with an even more breathtaking backdrop.

Lion in the Sun – A Fresh Dining Concept with a View

Also making its debut at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown is Lion in the Sun, a glamorous new restaurant described as a “glamorous salotto in the sky.” The venue will focus on Mediterranean flavors.

The space will feature a light and bright ambiance, plus an alfresco terrace where guests can enjoy their meal with incredible views of the city skyline.

Recently, two other dining concepts inspired by Asian cuisine were announced for Mandarin Oriental Downtown: Osaka Nikkei on the 35th floor and Yu & Mi on the 36th floor of the hotel. With these new dining and entertainment experiences, it’s clear that the hotel is set to become one of the hottest destinations in Dubai.
