The UAE Flag Garden has officially returned to Umm Suqeim Beach, adding a sea of red, white, black, and green to one of Dubai’s most recognisable spots. Located right next to the Burj Al Arab, the installation is now open to the public as part of the country’s annual national celebrations.

This year marks the 12th edition of Flag Garden. The display can be visited from Friday, October 31, until Saturday, January 10.

It’s free to enter and remains one of the most popular places for residents and visitors to capture a truly patriotic view of Dubai’s coastline.

The UAE Flag Garden is honouring the country’s founding fathers, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. This year’s edition also coincides with the national month of celebrations, starting with UAE Flag Day and continuing through Eid Al Etihad in December.

For 2025, the garden features thousands of UAE flags arranged to form remarkable aerial portraits of the two leaders. The portraits can be seen from above, creating a powerful symbol of unity and pride.

Every year, Flag Garden draws families, tourists, and photographers who come to admire the display and take part in the spirit of the occasion. With the Burj Al Arab and the new Jumeirah Al Marsa hotel as the backdrop, it’s one of the most striking spots to visit.

If you haven’t been yet, it’s worth adding to your list. As the nation prepares to celebrate UAE Flag Day, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has called on everyone to raise the flag on November 3 in honour of this important occasion. If you want to join, learn how to display and respect the flag correctly.
