UAE National Day is just around the corner, and the long weekend that everyone’s been waiting for is finally here. With more people in Dubai going out and heading to various celebration zones, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has adjusted the operating hours of public transport to accommodate the increased demand.
Here’s a quick guide to public transport timings and what to expect during the holiday period.
Dubai’s Public Transport Operating Hours for UAE National Day 2025
With more people heading out to enjoy the National Day fireworks and celebrations, the Metro, Tram, and buses will operate for extended hours to make sure everyone can easily reach the city’s major events.
Dubai Metro Operating Hours
- November 29: from 5 AM to 1 AM
- November 30: from 8 AM to 1 AM
- December 1 and 2: from 5 AM to 1 AM

Dubai Tram Operating Hours
- November 29: from 6 AM to 1 AM
- November 30: from 9 AM to 1 AM
- December 1 and 2: from 6 AM to 1 AM
All Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, and RTA Head Office will stay open 24/7 for digital services.
Free Parking in Dubai During UAE National Day
Public parking will be free on December 1 and 2, in celebration of the National Day. However, keep in mind that multi-storey car parks (including Al Khail Gate N-365) will still charge parking fees.

Paid parking will resume on Wednesday, December 3, so make sure to plan ahead.
