If you’re Kuwaiti living in the UAE, the coming week offers national-themed events across all the emirates. And everyone is welcome to take part. Starting Thursday, January 29, the country will host a week long celebration honouring Kuwait, with more than 40 events and activities spread across multiple locations.

Throughout the week, well-known landmarks and cultural sites will be lit in the colours of Kuwait’s national flag.

While Kuwait National and Independence Day is marked on February 25-26, this week-long celebration in the UAE sets the tone ahead of those dates.

One of the highlights of the week is Kuwaiti Nights in the UAE, a pair of live music evenings bringing artists from Kuwait and the UAE together. The performances will take place on January 29 and 30 at two locations:

  • Burj Park
  • ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi

In the capital, the programme includes a maritime parade along the waterfront, featuring traditional dhow boats sailing in a shared display of Gulf heritage.

Global Village in Dubai will celebrate Kuwait National Day from January 29 to February 5 with special events highlighting Kuwaiti culture and traditions.

In Fujairah, the historic fort will host a special edition of the Kuwait Festival.

Across the country, shopping centres will host themed activities and drone shows throughout the week.

Airports will also take part, welcoming Kuwaiti visitors with reception activities and commemorative gifts.

Don’t miss the chance to take part in this week-long celebration honouring the ties between the UAE and Kuwait. Stay tuned for more updates and news!
