If you’re planning Eid outings in Cairo and already thinking about traffic, parking and packed transport, the city is adding extra public transport routes to make holiday trips easier this year.
Special Eid Al Adha transport lines will connect several of Greater Cairo’s busiest family and tourist destinations, including the Pyramids and Sphinx area and the Citadel area in Old Cairo.
If you’re heading to the Pyramids during the Eid break, book a skip-the-line pass to avoid long queues and get straight into the experience without wasting time in the holiday crowds.
If you’re planning a park day or an outdoor escape during the Eid break, special transport routes will also connect several popular green spaces and riverside spots:
- Al-Azhar Park
- Badr Park
- The Japanese Garden and October 6 Park; both in Helwan
- International Park in Nasr City
- El Qanater
Earlier, Egypt has confirmed Eid Al Adha 2026 public holiday dates for state employees.
You can make your Eid stay in Cairo even more enjoyable with a skip-the-line ticket for the Grand Egyptian Museum, which allows you to head straight inside without spending time in long entrance lines.
