Three of Meta’s biggest apps are getting upgrades. Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp now have Plus subscription plans with extra features and customisation options. Let’s take a look at what each plan offers and how much it costs.
Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus: Features and Price
Instagram remains one of Meta’s most popular apps, and the company is putting most of the new features there. So, what do you get if you decide to upgrade your account?
- Story rewatch statistics
- Stories that stay up longer than 24 hours
- Posting to profiles and highlights without appearing in followers’ feeds
- Super Heart animated reactions
- Custom app icons, profile bio fonts, and additional profile pins

Still keeping up with Instagram updates? You may have missed a couple of other recent changes on the platform: end-to-end encrypted messaging was removed in May 2026 and Teen Accounts in the UAE are getting stricter default settings.
If you’re using Facebook, the Plus subscription mirrors many of the Instagram features, including audience insights, wider reach options, and profile customisation tools.
Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus cost USD 3.99/month.
WhatsApp Plus: Features and Price
WhatsApp developers have been busy lately. Earlier, we wrote that the app is getting a private AI chat mode that even Meta can’t read and launches parent-managed accounts for children under 13.
Now, WhatsApp Plus is being introduced.

For USD 2.99/month, users get the following set of perks:
- App themes
- Custom ringtones
- Premium stickers
- Additional pinned chats
- List customisation options
If you’re wondering what’s next, Meta says the Plus plans are only the start. More paid products for creators, businesses, and artificial intelligence products are already in development.
