Fans of Nikkei cuisine have a new Abu Dhabi opening to look forward to. Oro Verde is opening at Yas Bay later this year, so you’ll get one more reason to discover one of the city’s busiest dining destinations.
Most details are still under wraps. For now, all we know is that the restaurant will focus on Japanese and Peruvian flavours in both the food and cocktail menu. The interiors will also take inspiration from the craftsmanship, traditions, and natural beauty shared by these two cultures.
The new restaurant comes from the team behind Asia Asia and Lock, Stock & Barrel, so it’s fair to expect another stylish dining spot.

An official opening date has not been announced yet, but Oro Verde is expected to welcome its first guests before the end of 2026.
Even though this new Nikkei restaurant won’t open until later this year, but you don’t have to wait for a great meal in Abu Dhabi. If Korean food is on your list, head to Zoomak Korean Pub for a traditional Seoul pub experience.
If you’d rather try something that’s only around for a few days, book a table at Soraya between July 15 and 22. The restaurant will host Nina, the popular London spot known for its contemporary Milanese cuisine.
