For anyone attending prayers at Dubai mosques during Ramadan, here’s some great news. Parkin has confirmed that parking spaces designated for Dubai mosques will be free parking during Ramadan for the entire day. This applies to zones marked with M and MP across the city. Typically, parking near mosques is free for one hour during prayer times, and paid for the rest of the day. During Ramadan, which began on February 18, that usual one-hour window no longer applies. Abu Dhabi has taken another step toward autonomous urban mobility with the expansion of its self-driving taxi service, TXAI, to include Zayed International Airport. The new route connects the airport with Yas and Saadiyat Islands, further building out the emirate’s smart transport network. The announcement was made by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) under Abu Dhabi Mobility, and supports the emirate’s strategy to make 25% of all trips driverless by 2040.
