It looks like the UAE’s fragrance scene is getting a whole lot sweeter. Dessert-inspired perfumes are turning heads and catching on fast, with scents that are more like walking through a bakery than a traditional perfume counter. These new fragrances aren’t your usual florals or ouds. Instead, imagine scents like cotton candy, bubble gum, or even chocolate ganache filling the air around you.

At Beautyworld Middle East 2025, it was clear that the trend is real. Multiple exhibitors showcased perfumes that are anything but traditional. Instead of the usual luxury floral scents, you can now find everything from strawberry cheesecake to the delicious smell of freshly baked goods. And it’s all thanks to a younger generation of buyers who are taking to social media to share and celebrate these new foodie-inspired fragrances.

What started small has now gone viral, with perfume companies diving headfirst into the world of sweet, edible notes. You can even smell like Dubai chocolate with Arabiyat Prestige’s newest creation!

The UAE-based brand is all over this trend, with its ‘Arabiyat Sugar’ collection featuring fragrances like Mango Affogato, Strawberry Tress Leches, and Dulce De Leche.

KAYALI Fragrance Library also has seen the arrival of tasty perfumes with all yummy notes: Oudgasm Chocolate Oud, Caramel Apple, Praline, Yum Boujee Marshmallow, and Pistachio Gelato.

Even ‘Gulf Orchid,’ known for its traditional style, has launched fun new scents like ‘Mango Ice’ and ‘Cotton Candy Musk’ to join the movement.

But, will this trend last? It’s still up in the air, but for now, the UAE’s fragrance market is definitely all about those sugar-sweet scents.

If you’re looking to explore more fun beauty experiences, don’t miss Beauty & Candy Week at Galeries Lafayette Dubai, running until the end of the week. It’s the perfect place to indulge in some sweet-smelling, candy-inspired surprises.
