Expect a unique fusion of Arabic and jazz music, where instruments like the oud, qanoon, and ney flute will mix with jazz improvisations, creating a fresh and exciting sound.

Abu Dhabi’s role as host isn’t by chance. Recognized as a UNESCO Creative City of Music since 2021, the city has been expanding its cultural scene with institutions like Berklee Abu Dhabi and NYU Abu Dhabi, supporting both international and local talent. This event is another step in showing how music can bring different cultures together.

But it’s not just about the concerts. Workshops and masterclasses will be held across Abu Dhabi, giving students and musicians a chance to learn from top jazz artists. The goal is to inspire a new generation to explore jazz and its global influences.

Since UNESCO launched International Jazz Day in 2011, the event has reached billions of people, celebrating jazz as a symbol of cultural unity and creative freedom. With Abu Dhabi at the helm in 2025, this year’s celebration is set to make a lasting impact.
