The prestigious Michelin Star Award Ceremony for Dubai for 2024 took place at the magnificent One&Only One Za’abeel, showcasing Dubai’s ever-growing reputation as a global dining destination.
Two-Michelin Stars In Dubai
The highlight of this year’s ceremony was renowned British chef Jason Atherton’s restaurant Row on 45, which achieved the remarkable feat of earning two Michelin stars. This recognition places Row on 45 among an elite group of only four two-Michelin-starred restaurants in Dubai – Il Ristorante-Niko Romito, Stay by Yannick Alléno, and Trèsind Studio
One Michelin Star and Bib Gourmand Restaurants In Dubai
The 2024 edition of the Michelin Guide Dubai features 106 restaurants, a significant increase from the 69 listed in 2022. Along with the four two-Michelin-starred restaurants, this year’s guide includes 15 one-Michelin-starred establishments, four of which are newly awarded.
Additionally, Dubai boasts 18 Bib Gourmand restaurants and three Michelin Green Star restaurants, reflecting the city’s diverse and vibrant culinary landscape
Newly Awarded Michelin Stars
Four restaurants were newly awarded one Michelin star this year:
- La Dame de Pic Dubai: Led by acclaimed chef Anne-Sophie Pic, this restaurant brings modern French cuisine with subtle local influences.
- Smoked Room: Chef Dani García introduces creative dishes with an impressive use of fire and grills.
- Sagetsu by Tetsuya: Chef Tetsuya Wakuda fuses Japanese and French culinary influences in a sophisticated setting.
- Orfali Bros: Run by three Syrian brothers, this popular spot offers globally influenced small plates that have matured and evolved, earning it a Michelin star.
