Biswa Kalyan Rath is a renowned Indian comedian, writer, and popular YouTuber known for his distinctive style. One of his notable contributions to the comedy scene was the creation of the widely acclaimed YouTube series called "Pretentious Movie Reviews" alongside fellow comedian Kanan Gill. The duo gained massive popularity by hilariously critiquing poorly received Bollywood films, captivating audiences with their unique humor. In addition to his comedic talents, Biswa showcased his acting skills in the 2016 Netflix sex comedy film "Brahman Naman" and ventured into content creation with the Amazon Prime Video series titled "Laakhon Mein Ek" in 2017. Prior to his comedy career, Biswa completed his studies in Biotechnology at IIT Kharagpur in 2012 and worked in various professional fields including graphic design, advertising, and software. However, after meeting Kanan Gill at a Bangalore open mic event in 2013, Biswa decided to pursue comedy full-time, leaving behind his corporate job at Oracle in 2014. He embarked on national tours, including the successful "Biswa In your face" tour in 2015, performing in major cities across India.
