Mohanlal is an Indian actor, director, film producer, playback singer and film distributor. He starred and worked for Malayalam cinema as well as in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada-language films.
Mohanlal's birthday is on 21 May 1960. He was born in an Indian village. His father worked in the Kerala government. He had an older brother. Mohanlal`s brother died when he was doing a military exercise.
Mohanlal played his first role called Computer Boy when he was a middle school boy. In 1986, he starred in T. P. Balagopalan M.A. for which he received his first Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor.
Since that time the actor has played in dozens of movies. Mohanlal movies were different genres from comedies to detectives.
