Jamaican reggae and hip-hop artist Ky-Mani Marley had a tall order living up to his father, the late Bob Marley, but a career that has spanned over 2 decades has shown that the musical abilities of his father and family are in Ky-Mani’s blood. At the age of nine he moved to Miami where Marley took up piano and guitar lessons as well as playing the trumpet in the school band. He began to rap and sing on his tracks and along with his musical brothers Stephen, Julian and Damian, Ky-Mani moved into a career that has taken him all over the world. In 1996 Marley released his debut album ‘Like Father Like Son’ which included British reggae chart-topper ‘Dear Dad’. Since Marley’s debut album he has released a number of critically acclaimed albums across a spectrum of genres, whilst still staying true to his roots. Ky-Mani’s full discography includes The Journey released in 2000, Many More Roads in 2001, Milestone in 2004, Radio in 2007, Maestro in 2015 and most recently, 2016’s Conversations. Ky-Mani Marley has performed all over the world including some of the top music festivals and reggae events. One such performance was a show on the Cameo Theatre show on NBC, which was aired live by the Caribbean News Agency to 36 countries.
