One of the busiest and consistent DJs in the Middle East, Mr Shef Codes plays floor-filling urban music to some of Dubai’s finest clubs every night of the week. Stereo Arcade, Billionaire Mansion and BOA all boast his impressive deck skills, and that’s just his current weekly schedule.
Inspired by the golden age of Hip Hop, a young Shefan Lantra started making mixtapes using a beat up laptop, a tape recorder and lots of natural talent, giving the highly prized bootlegs away for free at school.
That passion still pushes him on. From coming third in the PALME 2007 DJ competition to being signed up to the notorious Real Flava DJ agency with his best friend and frequent back-to-back guest DJ Bliss, he’s naturally found himself as the King of Clubs; a smile on his face, a few tongue-in-cheek gang signs for the photographers and some real club killers on his playlist.
