Salman Khan

Salman Khan is one of the biggest names in Bollywood. The Indian actor, producer, singer and philanthropist has been involved in many of the industry’s highest grossing movies and has had a highly praised and multi-award winning career that has spanned over 25 years.

From his 1988 acting debut, Khan rapidly established himself as one of the actors to watch, earning his first Folfare Award nomination in 1989. Khan continued to star in numerous other box office successes and firmly put his name in Bollywood history when he starred in the 1994 romance Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! The film won a National Award and grossed over $20 million worldwide.

Khan continued his movie successes with Dabangg which won several awards and became one of the highest grossing movies in Bollywood history. For his performance, Khan was named the Best Actor by the Star Screen Awards and Filmfare and was the recipient of the Stardust Award for Star of the Year.

After Dabangg, Khan starred in 2011’s ‘Ready’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ a year later, the latter of which broke numerous records, including the Highest Opening Weekend Gross. Later that year Khan released Dabangg 2, the sequel to his record-breaking movie, which was also another success. 2015 saw Khan star in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, which became the second highest-grossing Bollwood film of all time.

Khan’s career, which has repeatedly been involved in commercial and critical successes, has also seen him work alongside many of Bollywood’s top names including Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan.
