Ed Sheeran is a well-known English singer and a songwriter.
Where and when was Ed Sheeran born? He was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England on 17 February 1991. His father was a lecturer and his mother was a jewelry designer. The singer also has a brother who is now a composer.
The boy grew up in a religious family, therefore when he was 4, Sheran sang at a local church choir. When the boy was 11, he began writing songs.
The first of Ed Sheeran albums called "plus" was released in 2011 and immediately got to the top of the UK Albums Chart. The second album called "multiply" was one of the best selling albums in the world in 2015 and won Album of the Year and the single "Thinking Out Loud", won Grammy Award for Song of the Year.
The singer has released 5 successful albums and sold more than 150 million records worldwide so far.
