British grime and hip-hop artist Stormzy is quickly becoming one of the leading acts in the UK in his genre. Despite being just 24 years old, Stormzy’s career has seen him top charts in the UK and further afield as well as gather an impressive fanbase globally.
Having rapped from a young age Michael Owou Jr., better known as Stormzy, released his first professional EP, ‘Dreamers Disease’ in 2014, going on to win the MOBO Award for Best Grime Act shortly after. He first entered the UK charts with ‘Know Me From’ and followed it up with Silver Certified ‘WickedSkengMan 4’, which peaked at number 18.
Stormzy’s major success came in 2017 with the release of his debut album ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’ which topped the UK and Irish album charts, entered charts around Europe and included the singles ‘Cold’ and ‘Big for Your Boots’, which went to Number 6 in the UK singles chart.
