Biography & Career:
Sam Paganini is one of the defining figures of Italian techno, a producer and dj whose records have shaped dancefloors for the better part of three decades. Music came first through instruments rather than turntables, with drums and guitar studied early and time spent in local rock bands before a club residency in Belluno pulled him toward electronic music at fifteen. Based in Treviso ever since, the work ethic has never really changed.

The first global breakthrough arrived in the late nineties with a progressive instrumental released under an earlier alias that topped the UK club charts and won backing from Sasha, John Digweed and Paul Oakenfold. A second, much bigger wave came through Cocoon, Plus 8 and eventually Drumcode, where a run of EPs led to a debut album in 2014. The single that came with it went on to become one of the most streamed techno tracks ever made, holding the Beatport techno top ten for six straight months. Later records have come out on JAM, the label he runs himself.

The genre is uncompromising techno, built on rolling, hypnotic grooves, heavy low end and a producer's ear for melody that keeps things musical rather than purely functional. That balance is why the songs work equally well on a festival main stage and deep into a dark club night. Berghain, Fabric, Amnesia, Privilege, Output and Cielo have all hosted the sound, alongside Awakenings, Time Warp, Tomorrowland and Ultra.

Family runs quietly through the music. His wife is the vocalist known as Zøe, a longtime creative partner whose voice appears across several of the biggest releases, and the couple have a daughter named Bianca, who has a track dedicated to her. Away from the studio, the calendar stays busy, and a Sam Paganini concert remains a serious draw across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Upcoming events are announced regularly across club residencies and festival season, and tickets for the larger rooms tend to move quickly once dates go live.
