Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) is gearing up for some big changes over the next five years. Marjan, the master developer behind many of these plans, is focused on expanding the emirate’s mountain landscapes and promoting active tourism. One of their major initiatives is carving out 100 kilometers of hiking and biking trails, giving outdoor enthusiasts the chance to explore the local scenery in a whole new way.
Marjan is also planning to host cultural and entertainment festivals that will attract over 20,000 visitors annually, offering something for everyone, from music and art to local cultural experiences. These festivals will add to the emirate’s appeal as a top tourist destination.
Some of the major projects include Al Marjan Island, Marjan Beach, RAK Central, the upcoming Jebel Jais masterplan, and Wynn Al Marjan Island.

The hospitality scene in Ras Al Khaimah will also be expanding significantly, with plans to bring in international hotel brands, joining other ultra-luxury developments: Armani Beach Residences (completed by 2030), The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotels and Residences (opening in 2027), and NH Collection Hotel and Apartments (scheduled for 2028).
As new projects rise in the emirate, transport options also undergo significant changes. There’s a plan to launch an air taxi service between Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, with journey taking only 15 minutes.
Stay tuned for more updates on RAK’s growth and future developments. There’s a lot more to look forward to in this fast-growing emirate!
