The future of public transport has arrived in Dubai. Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new high-tech bus station at Mall of the Emirates where passengers can access a range of smart systems for better trip planning and live transport updates.

Curious what’s inside? Here’s a list of the features:

  • Real-time bus crowd tracking displays showing how busy incoming buses are
  • Live bus and Metro arrival screens
  • Interactive digital displays with maps and nearby landmark directions
  • Smart kiosk with a virtual assistant for trip planning and customer support
  • AI-powered cameras tracking crowd movement and detecting violations
  • 24-hour digital passenger services

The space can accommodate up to 20 commuters at a time and also includes a rest area for bus drivers.

The station connects to Mall of the Emirates Metro Station and serves 11 bus routes linking neighbourhoods, including Al Barsha, Umm Suqeim, Al Sufouh, Al Quoz, JVC, Dubai Science Park, and Dubai Studio City.

This smart bus station at Mall of the Emirates also includes digital ticket purchasing, nol card top-up services, taxi availability tracking, Lost and Found access, and a smart vending machine.

The transport hub also improves access to Dubai Miracle Garden and Global Village. If planning a visit to these destinations until they close for a summer break, book your entry tickets in advance.

Please, note that Dubai Miracle Garden has special offers this May: free entry for families on weekdays and discounted tickets for UAE residents.
