Jeddah’s dining scene is growing fast, and the latest addition is bringing both character and creativity to the table. Dear Duck, a new concept by local chef and restaurateur Nihal Felemban, has officially opened its doors in La Paz Plaza, As Salamah. Felemban’s latest concept is turning heads with its distinct theme, playful design, and curated duck-inspired dining.

Dear Duck draws design cues from California and Paris, blending laid-back cool with chic French style. The venue is hard to miss, with its bright yellow façade standing out along the street. Inside, there’s a cosy and lively atmosphere, from booth seating and leafy greenery to yellow accents on lamps, furniture, and tiles. A fully visible open kitchen adds energy to the space, giving diners a look into the action.

The restaurant’s duck motif runs through every detail — from the logo featuring a duck in a beret to tableware adorned with tiny ducks and hearts. Even the art stays on brand: guests will spot framed portraits of ducks enjoying baguettes, complete with bow ties and berets.

While the full menu hasn’t been revealed yet, Dear Duck is positioned as an all-day eatery, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Beyond the main meals, guests can expect desserts, coffee, mocktails, afternoon bites, and late-night options.

Recent previews at a brunch party gave a taste of what’s to come, with dishes like Le Steak Frites de la Maison, Sage Brown Butter Pasta, and Smoked Buffalo Wings. Dessert options include sweet treats with whimsical names, such as The Brownie Meets Sundae and The Truffle Shuffle.

From concept to execution, Dear Duck offers a thoughtful, themed experience with a unique voice and atmosphere. With its curated menu and inviting setting, it’s a new option for diners looking to enjoy something fresh and memorable in the Red Sea city.
