flydubai is unlocking a new destination in North Africa. The airline has confirmed direct flights to Benghazi starting June 17, 2026. It’s first time a UAE carrier offers a connection between Dubai and the Libyan city.
The new route will operate three times a week between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Benina International Airport (BEN).
- Flight FZ1147 will leave DXB (Terminal 3) at 6:50 AM and land in Benghazi at 10:45 AM local time
- Flight FZ1148 will depart BEN at 11:45 AM and arrive in Dubai at 7:15 PM local time

flydubai is adding more capacity ahead of the Eid break and the summer season, including new and returning flights across North Africa, Europe, and Asia:
- From May 22: Bodrum (Turkey), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Mykonos (Greece), Santorini (Greece), and Tivat (Montenegro)
- From July 1: daily flights to Bangkok (Thailand)
- Seasonal summer flights to Al Alamein (Egypt)
flydubai is also adding more onboard perks for passengers. The airline recently upgraded its Economy Class experience with complimentary meals and in-flight entertainment. The Dubai-based carrier also plans to introduce free Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet by 2027.
