The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially opened a brand-new stretch of road in Dubai Investment Park, designed to accommodate both vehicle traffic and the upcoming Etihad Rail service. This latest infrastructure move is a major step forward for Dubai’s expanding transport network. The newly completed 1.8km flyover connects Dubai Investment Park with Al Yalayis Road, allowing cars to move overhead while freight trains pass safely below. A right-hand exit towards Emirates Road has also been added, helping to ease traffic flow in one of the city’s busy logistics and industrial hubs. View this post on Instagram...
Dubai regularly updates its rules to keep life in the emirate comfortable and well organised. As part of this effort, a new law on the quality and safety of buildings has been issued, aimed at ensuring properties remain properly maintained and safe for the people who live and work in them. The rules apply to all buildings in the emirate, including those located in private development areas and free zones such as the Dubai International Financial Centre. They cover buildings completed both before and after the law comes into force. One of the key requirements is a Quality and Safety...

There’s a new residential project coming to Dubai that feels more like a small town built within the city. Sobha Sanctuary is set to be one of the most expansive communities Dubai has seen in years, with over 20,000 homes (apartments and villas) planned. The community will be located not far from The Sevens Stadium. The first handovers are expected in 2029. The main concept of Sobha Sanctuary is to create a place where everything residents need is close by. In the center of the community will be a large park, surrounded by sports facilities like football fields, running tracks,...
For anyone attending prayers at Dubai mosques during Ramadan, here’s some great news. Parkin has confirmed that parking spaces designated for Dubai mosques will be free parking during Ramadan for the entire day. This applies to zones marked with M and MP across the city. Typically, parking near mosques is free for one hour during prayer times, and paid for the rest of the day. During Ramadan, which began on February 18, that usual one-hour window no longer applies. If you’ll be driving to Dubai mosques during Ramadan, this is worth keeping in mind. It’s one less thing to worry...
