Biography & Career  
Mohammed Irfan, a prominent Indian playback singer known for his captivating vocals in Hindi cinema, has also showcased his talent in various regional languages including Tamil, Kannada, Odia, Telugu, Bengali, and Marathi.   Born in Hyderabad, Irfan discovered his passion for music during his schooling at All Saints High School. His exceptional talent was recognized by his teacher, Ramachari, who provided him with formal training in music. Irfan's dedication was evident as he actively participated in school events and eventually gained recognition as the winner of the title Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star 2. He also participated in popular singing competitions such as Amul STAR Voice of India and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 as part of Ismail Darbar's Yalgaar Ho Gharana.  

Irfan's breakthrough in Bollywood came when veteran singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam noticed his exceptional talent during a concert at a musical institute in Hyderabad. Impressed by his skills, Balasubramaniam recommended him to the legendary A.R. Rahman. This led Rahman to invite Irfan to lend his background vocals to the song "Behene De" in the 2010 film Raavan, alongside Karthik. The track not only topped music charts for several weeks but also received critical acclaim.  
In the same year, Irfan recorded two songs, "Salaam Zindagi" and "Rehmat Zara," for Mithoon's Lamhaa, with the latter earning him the Best Male Singer Debut award. He gained further recognition with his collaboration on the popular song "Phir Mohabbat" from the 2011 film Murder 2, alongside Arijit Singh and Saim Bhat. The song achieved commercial success and garnered significant airplay on radio. Irfan continued to collaborate with renowned music directors such as Sajid-Wajid, Himesh Reshammiya, Meet Bros Anjjan, and Jeet Ganguly.  

One of his notable contributions was the soulful rendition of "Dil Sambhal Ja Zara" from the film Murder 2, which played a pivotal role in establishing him as a prominent singer in the industry. In 2014, Irfan mesmerized audiences with his captivating performances in hit songs like "Baarish" from Yaariyan, "Muskurane" from Citylights, "Banjaara" from Ek Villain, "Dard Dilo Ke" from The Xpose, and "Tu Hi Tu" from Kick. His rendition of "Banjaara," composed and written by Mithoon Sharma, achieved commercial success, solidifying his reputation as a promising talent in the Bollywood music scene.
