Lebanese singer and songwriter Jay Abo has been making waves in Dubai’s homegrown circuit. With gentle melodies and a naturally smooth voice, Abo is quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting new acts in the UAE.
Raised in Dubai, Abo began his career practising and recording his own covers of well-known songs. Putting them out to the public on social media, he began to gain recognition from his peers, who praised his soulful energy and gentle voice. Taking inspiration from John Mayer, Abo has fine-tuned his talent over time, leading him to performances across the country.
The Yasalam Emerging Talent Competition saw him reach the top 3 and the Sound Garden community picked up Abo as one of their rising talents. Through the community, he has gone on to perform regularly at Dubai’s Pizza Express and Tribeca among others.
