Harsh Gujral, a well-known stand-up comedian and social media sensation, has gained widespread recognition for his unique comedic style. Harsh Gujral's journey to becoming a full-time comedian was shaped by his initial career in the corporate world. After completing his engineering degree, he embarked on his professional journey in 2012 as a database engineer at RateGain in Noida, India, earning a modest monthly salary of Rs 13,000. Over the years, he gained experience working in multinational companies such as HCL, IBM, and TCS, all while pursuing his passion for comedy through open mic shows and comedy gigs on the side.
An exciting opportunity presented itself when Harsh was asked to relocate to London for a year to perform in comedy shows. This experience abroad broadened his horizons and exposed him to new comedic perspectives. Upon his return to India, he hosted his company's fest, which ignited his interest in crowd work comedy—a style of comedy that involves interacting and improvising with the audience. The positive response he received further fueled his desire to pursue comedy full-time.
Driven by his passion, Harsh Gujral made the bold decision to leave his corporate job and dive headfirst into a career as a comedian. He kickstarted his journey by performing at the renowned comedy club, Canvas Laugh Club. This served as a springboard for his comedic aspirations, allowing him to showcase his talent and connect with audiences on a larger scale.
