Manipulated content is getting much harder to spot with the naked eye, but a young UAE researcher may have found a solution. During her master’s studies at Zayed University, Bashayer Al Salami spent time researching digital threats and AI manipulation online. The warning alert system is used to quickly inform UAE residents about important safety situations and provide instructions on what to do. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has now introduced a small update to the system, mainly adjusting the notification sound. A new public art project has launched in Fujairah, turning an ordinary road into a musical experience. The 750-metre stretch of road plays part of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony when driven over at the right speed. The first Etihad Rail passenger station in Fujairah has just been revealed, giving us a first look at what’s ahead. A video from the official visit shows a modern, bright station with big windows letting in plenty of natural light and sleek, clean design.
