Egyptian DJ and producing duo Aly & Fila are widely regarded as one of the leading lights in the trance music scene. Having produced numerous tracks, headlined shows around the world and discovered several artists through their own label, the duo are one of the top trance acts in the scene today.
Childhood friends Fadi Naguib and Aly Fathalah were inspired during their teenage years by the productions of trance legends Paul van Dyk, Chicane and The Thrillseekers. They used this inspiration to begin producing music of their own eventually receiving airplay from Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and many more with their track ‘Eye of Horus’.
Since their debut, the duo have had multiple songs played on Armin van Buuren’s hugely popular weekly radio show A State of Trance. Their 2011 production, We Control The Sunlight, went on to become Tune of the Year, a feat that Aly & Fila achieved again in 2016 when they collaborated with Roger Shah and Susana to create Unbreakable.
Aly & Fila have released three studio albums over their career. 2010 saw the release of Rising Sun, Quiet Storm in 2013 and The Other Shore the following year. All three albums were well received and supported by the trance community. They also release numerous tracks on their label, Future Sound of Egypt, which has also supported and created the careers of many other artists, both from the Middle East and further afield.
As performing artists, Fadi tours regularly as Aly & Fila, performing all over the world at some of the biggest festivals and clubs. Their illustrious career has seen them perform at Tomorrowland in Belgium, Australia’s Stereosonic festival and numerous appearances at the A State of Trance celebrations around the world, something which they also replicated with their own radio show celebrations.
