Hannibal Buress

American stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress has risen to the top of the US comedy scene in a relatively short time through his quick wit, confident delivery and hilarious stories. Buress made headlines across the US in 2014 when he was recorded performing jokes about Bill Cosby, which ultimately lead to a media firestorm and has put him in a well-respected position amongst comics and fans.

Born in Chicago, Buress worked as a writer on Saturday Night Live at the beginning of his career in 2009. Despite only having one of his sketches aired, he made a move over to 30 Rock, where he contributed to the fifth season.

Buress, in 2010, made Variety’s ‘Ten Comics to Watch’ list and released his debut comedy album ‘My Name is Hannibal’ in July. He followed this up two years later with ‘Animal Furnace’. The album received positive reviews and was aired on Comedy Central.

Buress has been featured numerous times on the comedy channel with his performances at Gotham and on John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show being aired. He has also made several appearances on late night shows in the US and UK including Russell Howard’s Good News, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Conan and Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Buress currently stars as the sidekick on Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show and has also been featured on the FX sitcom ‘Louie’.
