American comedy magician Mac King has fast established himself as one of the funniest and most creative acts on the scene. Having performed thousands of shows across the world in his career, King is a hugely entertaining act and his show is a regular stop for visitors to Las Vegas.
King, who had two grandfathers who were magicians, found a love for the art at a young age, performing for family and friends and having a paid show at age 10 at a friend’s birthday party. It wasn’t long before he took his show on the road, performing at many of the USA’s top comedy clubs.
In the 90s King began appearing on ‘The World’s Greatest Magic Shows’ programme on NBC. Through these appearances, he received bookings and praise from the Las Vegas community, performing at Caesar’s Palace, Harrah’s Las Vegas and at the Riviera.
At the turn of the century, King had established himself as one of the top comedy magicians and secured himself a regular slot hosting ‘The Mac King Comedy Magic Show’ at the Harrah’s Las Vegas. The show has been repeatedly praised and saw him win several awards including ‘Best Strip Headliner’ in the Las Vegas Weekly Awards, ‘Funniest Act in Magic Today’ by Magic Magazine and ‘Magician of the Year’ by Magic Castle.
King’s career has taken him around the world and has also seen him perform on The Late Show with David Letterman, Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Penn & Teller’s Sin City Spectacular and the Magic Road Trip on the Travel Channel.
